Bundesfest des Deutschen Radfahrer-Bundes Braunschweig
Lithograph in colors, condition C+, backed on linen.
This poster advertises the German national cycling federation's annual conference in the city of Brunswick (Braunschweig). The design of the poster shows a proper German cyclist posing in front of a 19th century copy of Burglöw, a bronze lion cast in 1166. The statue was originally made for Duke Henry the Lion and now is on display in adjacent Dankwarderode Castle. Behind the statue is the town hall, presumably where the conference would have been held.
