While there are several French posters for English bicycles brands, this is a rare (and early) example of an English poster for the English market. Nevertheless, the unknown artist uses French design modes. A scantily clad female riding a winged wheel never hurt sales. Flying Wheel Cycles of Coventry competed with English brands Whitworth and Rudge, two companies better known by their French posters today. Whether Fulwell was Thr Flying Wheel Cycles parent company or the actual manufacturer for the Flying Wheel brand is a mystery
