Esposizione Regionale
Lithograph in colors, condition B, printed by C. Borrani, Florence, backed on linen
44 x 60 in. (111 x 152 cm.)
This poster advertises the Marches region labor exposition. At the exposition, various industries from the Marches region would show off the products of their labours to market. Within the poster design, an allegory for labor holds a statue representing the products which are created from her work. She sits on a plinth overlooking the Marches region, with Macerata, the region's capitol city, on a hilltop in the background. At the bottom of the poster, behind the type, are four coats of arms representing the 4 major cities of the region. From left to right: Ancea, Ascoli-Piceno, Macerata, and Pesaro. The exposition itself was wildly successful. So much so, that it was honored in 2005, when a hundredth anniversary exhibition was held.
