The tires obliterates bad roads

In 1887, Scotsman John Dunlop invented the pneumatic tire. After watching his son struggle to pedal his tricycle, Dunlop was convinced there was a better way to manufacture tires. By riding on an air filled bladder, his son was able pedal more easily. The advent of pneumatic tires was monumental in the development of bicycles, which were nicknamed "boneshakers" at the time because of their harsh ride quality. Pneumatic tires provided a much more comfortable and easy pedalling ride than hard rubber wheels. In 1889, the Dunlop Pneumatic Tyre Co. was founded in Dublin, playing a large role in the bicycle boom in addition to providing some of the fist automobiles.
