Of the posters that have solid dates, this is the oldest in Roger's collection. Jules Cheret is known as the father of the poster" because he invented multi-color stone lithography. He made lots of posters for various products, theatre, food and drink, etc., but only made 2 bicycle posters. This poster comes from his best period of production.
